Section 2: PersonalityPersonality: Takoda is a boy who lives up to the meaning of his name, 'friend of everyone', or at least he is to those he is able to approach. Normally he is a rather shy kid but after he gets to know someone he turns into a normal and rather outgoing young teenager. He has a habit of apologizing for things even when it wasn't even him that did them. Of all the things in the world to talk about he is more than willing to indulge in, the only subject that really bums his out though is when someone brings up their father. This is due to him never getting to meet his father and thus is slightly depressed when someone has good things to say and is enraged when people say things like, 'I wish my dad would just go away.'
Likes: Not training, or even fighting as much as everyone else in his clan. No, the things that Takoda most enjoys are pranks and food. Specifically steak. Yes indeed he is still very much so a child at heart even if he is considered an adult in shinobi society and if he isnt filling water balloons he is filling his face.
Dislikes/Fears: Whenever he finds other kids around him that are being mean to either others their age or younger he is set off like an anti-bully terminator, often found with someone much larger than him pinned on the ground while he 'beats some sense into their face'. And while not as extreme as to extend into physical violence, he has a strong distaste for those who disrespect their elders. As for fears, true to his clans nature he is slightly claustrophobic. Having such a wild nature in him he enjoy wide open spaces like the forest more than any sort of confinement.
Motivation: He aspires not for power to aid himself, but power to protect. Takoda wishes to not be forever be locked into a cycle of having to get stronger and stronger, eventually he wants to break the chain and get strong enough that he can crush those who attempt to hurt those around him and become the ultimate guardian.
Section 3: Clan InformationBloodline: Yasei no keijō (Wild Shape)
Bloodline Ability: The members of the Kuma clan are able to transform parts of their body into those of bears with ease without the risk of losing their human side. In addition whenever a member of the clan uses a taijutsu, due to their deep connection with nature and their inner beast, the effects produced are so natural to them that it costs one rank less in chakra cost (E ranks still cost 5). This excludes any technique with an elemental attachment and/or nintaijutsu. All clan members are required to have Taijutsu as their primary specialization.
History of Clan: When the forest was still young there were people living among the branches and the animals themselves as a natural part of the flow. Some grew very close to specific species like the tiger or the hawk but the Kuma clan were a proud folk who valued physical strength and a burning will to fight, these people were known as the tribe of bears. They lived for many years as constant thorns in the sides of other people until the creation of villages and lasting alliances made it easier for them to find more casual opponents to test themselves against. Now a well known member of the hidden forest village they set themselves up specific areas of the forest in sturdy homes thanks to the teachings of the Doruido clan and their tree magic. For many generations this clan lived in peace until one day there came invader's to the village who burned much of the housing down after acquiring the location of the village from an ancient library. Eventually these invader's were defeated but many of the village's great clans suffered great losses and none was greater than the proud Kuma who never left the front lines even once to refresh themselves while their allies needed to recuperate. Eventually it was discovered that these invaders were acting alone and were simply trying to destroy the village to set up a new base. This group had members of every village in it and although the great council has hidden this fact from the history books and banned the speaking of it publicly the Kuma know all to well since it was them doing most of the fighting. Since that battle nearly two hundred years ago they have lived quietly in distrust of most everyone outside of their own clan. Even so they are a friendly people that will often challenge those around them to some friendly wrestling matches to both test and show off their skills at every chance.
Location of Clan: Morigakure
Section 4: BackgroundCharacter History: Before his birth Takoda's father was slain, he had been a great and fearsome warrior for the hidden forest village his entire life that lived up to the reputation of the Kuma clan perfectly. Being killed by members of the rebellion on the fields of battle there was no higher honor that he could receive to be revered by his remaining clan members in his wake. The child would not be an orphan though, no. His mother needed someone to help her while she was still with child which resulted in her brother and his wife taking her into their home. Several months later Takoda was born into a house of six; his mother, aunt, uncle and three older cousins. Living with such a large household family resulted in him having extremely strong beliefs in family and the bonds forged by those close to him despite the tough time he had early on at the academy.
When he started out at school he was a fairly quiet child, keeping mostly to himself all the time and only ever making any noise when the teacher called on him for an answer or to make sure he was still awake. This shyness was not a very common trait among member's of the Kuma clan but he had never really had the chance to go out and make friends with anyone he didn't live with which resulted in him being fairly sheltered and naive to top it all off. Often times he was picked on a bullied, more often than not it was emotional or verbal abuse which he could deal with, the first time someone honestly tried to beat him up though was the last time he put up with other people's crap.
It happened pretty fast, there were two kids holding his arms behind him so that a third coward could punch him over and over, mostly in the chest which resulted in shortness of breath every time but every now and then he took one to the face and ended up with quite a few nasty bruises. Then all of a sudden they let him go, this was a tactic to taunt and humiliate him even more. This was something that was often gotten away with because the bear tribe had a strict policy of having to solve your own problems which he dared not break. They called him names and opened their arms out to the side calling out things like 'free shot'. It kept up for several minutes with the bear child just looking at them with his swollen eye and heavy breathing until eventually a voice called out. "Hurry up and hit him so I can go home, I dont plan on missing this guy getting what he has coming." All of us looked around to see another kid from our class sitting up in a tree watching and casually eating an apple. He didnt move, just like before, and after a while the other boy came down from the tree and said that if Takoda wasn't going to do it then he would. Unfortunately he had underestimated the power of numbers and was quickly being defeated. After seeing them turn on someone else a fire lit inside the kid and he got to work. Using the super strength his inner animal granted he tossed the trio around like rag dolls until they ran away crying and bleeding. He would check on the other boy to see that he had been covered in bruises just like him, "You know, if I have to take that kind of beating every time just to get you to stand up for yourself I don't see our friendship lasting long." The words stuck with Takota for the rest of his life but at the time the only thing both boys could do was throw their heads back and laugh as they helped each other limp back to their houses. This kid was named Rohim Uzumaki and from that point on him and Takota became the best of friends that did everything together. Due to Rohim's more outgoing nature rubbing off on the Kuma kid they often got into trouble doing things like pulling pranks and other childish things that brought a little bit of chaos to everyone's day.
By the time they turned twelve they managed to pass the exit exam and were promoted to genin, through sheer luck they managed to get on the same team with another boy who they would bond and become friends with. For the next year they worked hard doing all sorts of D rank missions and higher level training to try and get all of them prepared for the chunin exams in the coming months. But for now all the team wanted to really do was relax and have fun.
RP Sample: Takeshi let a smile betray him as his pet tested the scent of this new man and then satisfied with the results went to him and perched himself for a moment before coming back. As he returned to Takeshi wrist he coiled around and the Hebikage turned to the shadow of the vines to talk as if they had been forever.
"Indeed, this little one has come to be called Slange, a word from the tongue of our western territories. Though he is not the only one with a name, all of my children have a god given title which I address them by." As he said this all the other snakes seemed to get the picture and returned to sight, though he wouldn't feel any fear as he was a man of the forest the sheer number of reptiles in this single room might cause a moment of shock to Skar. And if not that much he would be able to tell that even with so many in a closed space that they were all cared well for as all would be in perfect health.
As they all came forth they respected their distance with the man, although they knew from their master's actions that he could be trusted they also knew that a stranger getting swarmed by a hoard of serpents was likely to attack said serpents out of pure instinct. Well, all them them with the exception of one. A large anaconda with large green eyes and a black-grey scale tone slithered up and shoved his head underneath Skar's palm that wasn't holding the axe. It was at the same time that Takeshi reached forward and grasped the handle of the magnificent weapon, he weighed the thing in his palm a moment before taking it from his fellow kage both to fully test it and to shake his head at the giant beast.
"You'll have to excuse Inu's manners, he is more a dog than he is a snake but you could guess that from his name. He probably has taken to you so well because he can smell the scents of home on your skin." Inu was indeed a fearsome looking creature, the largest one in this room by far at a massive one hundred feet with a great head nearly eighteen inches across but at the same time he was the most harmless due to his kind nature. Takeshi had ventured into the Land of Vines ten years ago on a mission to help a civilian village with some bandits that had intel which prevented Tsuru getting involved, it was then that he found the egg of the great serpent with it's mother sliced open only a few yards away. Sympathy kicked in and so now Inu had a home in the tower. This was a story Skar would no doubt have heard of as these creatures were notorious for being vicious and killing humans so Takeshi having been able to train one to be as docile as this was a world renowned feat.
The great snake lowered his head from Skar now and coiled once around his feet so that there was still enough room to take a step in any direction and not step on him and then drifted off to sleep. The Hebikage shook his head once more, the kind nature he had instilled in the beast would get him killed in the wild and if not for that he would have allowed him back into his homeland but he couldn't bare the thought of his dear friend dying because of that. He stood however and the serpents that had started coiling around him let loose and he stood holding the weapon out. He took a few steps to the side and started swinging the weapon around to test it's combat use. Satisfied after a few moments he placed it head down on the groun and leaned upon it as he turned to face Skar once more.
"The weapon is indeed a gift befitting a king, for this I thank you and in return would like to give something back. Several days ago when I heard you planned to come meet with me I crafted a special item though it is not quite yet complete. Before I add my finishing touches though perhaps you can try it on and make sure I measured properly. After that we can go and discuss business in the manner you offered." He snapped his fingers and a white snake with a black spot on the crown of his head appeared to take the gift he had been given away for his trophy room and eventually his armory. After a moment he snapped again and another snake appeared with a reverse color scheme as the last with a crafted piece of leather in it's mouth. Takeshi took the item and nodded before the creature ducked back into the darkness unseen yet again. He walked forward and presented it to Skar in both hands, laid out so that the symbol of Mjolnir that had been imprinted was fully shown, this bracer would serve as the base for a much greater item very soon but he wanted to make sure his new friend would like it first.
