Tora Kaze Female Age: 25 Birthday: December 27th Height: 5'4" Weight: 119 lb Specializations: Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Fuinjutsu, and Kyujutsu Elemental Affinity: Hyoton, Suiton, and Fuuton Rank: Tsundorakage Village: Korigakure Section 2: Personality Personality: Tora believes greatly in peace. She has spent many years studying elightenment to reach her goal of becoming someone perfectly at peace. Because of this she is generally a kind, caring, peaceful person. Almost never resorting to anger and cruelty. She believes rage is foolish and wastes precious energy. Tora often lecture people that show emotions such as anger, hate, jealousy, ect. Really anything that can lead to anger and rage she looks down on. Despite her strict belief in peace she is a very carefree person and enjoys hanging out and joking around. Likes: Tora loves peace, kindness, consideration, and any other good emotion. Tora loves food and eats like a fat man yet she doesn't seem to ever gain any weight. Tora enjoys reading and studying ancient philosophies. Tora while a peaceful person like fighting for her village and for her people. Tora loves her village and the people in it deeply, taking care of them the best she can. Dislikes/Fears: Tora dislikes anger, rage, jealousy, and any other negative emotion that can lead to anger. She also dislikes people who display these emotions, but she always tries to help them see the way of peace before she judges them. If they don't accept her counselling then she usually doesn't like them. Tora dislikes war, but sees it as necessary to achieve true peace in the end, something that she fights for vigorously. Tora also dislikes her name, as she was named after the founder of her clan who was a war monger. Motivation: Tora is motivated by two main things, her love for her people, and her desire for peace. These two things molded Tora into the person she is today. Tora cares deeply about not only those close to her, but she also protects people she knows do not deserve whatever it is she is protecting them from. Tora is motivated into war because she sees it as a way of attaining true peace and she believes sacrifices are necessary to achieve it. Section 3: Clan InformationBloodline: Hyōton Release (Ice: Water + Wind) Bloodline Ability: The Kaze Clan have the ability to manipulate ice. Just their presence causes the atmosphere to get colder and forms ice crystals in the air for them to use for their ice release techniques. Kaze clan members MUST have Water and Wind Release. - Kaze Ability:
The environment naturally gets colder when a Kaze is around. Just their presence causes it to get cold enough for microscopic ice crystals to form in the air around them. After they have been somewhere for 5 posts it will begin snowing. The Kaze can control this ability of course, if for example they are indoors or with allies they have the free choice to deactivate this ability at any time, and then activate it again later.
History of Clan: The Kaze clan was started by a woman named Tora Kaze. She had developed the ability to use a special chakra nature known as Hyoton, or ice release. She fought in a war against a clan known as the Hikami, they were also users of Hyoton Release. The bitterness between them went back quite a ways, Tora had once been the leader of the a clan known as the Kaze, the original Kaze clan. The Hikami were stronger and seeing this decided to make themselves the only users of the Hyoton release. They did a full scale attack on the Kaze. The battle was long and bloody, there were lots of deaths on both sides, but in the end the Hikami wiped the Kaze out, all but one, and that was Tora. They often sent assassins after her, but every time she killed them. She spent many years running, living in fear, but one day decided to fight back. She gathered powerful ninja allies and formulated a well constructed plan to infiltrate the Hikami and assassinate the leader. This would send the Hikami into a frenzy and make them unorganized, while Tora and her group would pick off members of the Hikami one by one. Once their numbers were small enough they full on attacked the Hikami, slaughtering them easily. There were no casualties on Tora's side, which is why she came to be respected as a powerful leader. Few Hikami survived and the ones that did swore allegiance to Tora, she used them for her purposes for a while, mainly for breeding, so she could start up the Kaze clan again. After that had suited her purposes she killed them off. The Kaze grew quickly, becoming a full scale clan in just 100 years. Tora had since past and a new leader was in place in the clan. The new leader's name was Yashiro, he was a much more kind person then Tora and as such the Kaze became a peaceful clan. All except for the older ones in the clan that served under Tora. These elders in the clan planned to assassinate Yashiro, and put a new 'stronger' leader in control. Yashiro of course had loyals within the elders that told him of this planning. Regretfully he gathered his strongest men and attacked the elders. The elders were strong and had a vast knowledge of jutsu and uses of Ice Release, but they were old, and not able to use their knowledge as good as they'd like to. Yashiro and his men put them down, which is when they finally realized that they were wrong, they realized that Yashiro was a kind leader, but at the same time he was strong. Because of this many plead for forgiveness, which Yashiro granted them. From then on the Kaze had no more problems within the clan and settled happily in Korigakure, where they continued on their peaceful lives and continued growing, all the way down to today, where they still thrive as a clan and are highly respected within the village, even some outside of the village respect and fear them. Yashiro has long since past of course, but he died of old age, and he died contently, happy with the clan he and his ancestor, Tora, had created. Location of Clan: Korigakure Section 4: BackgroundCharacter History:- Pre Birth Arc:
Tora's parents grew up together, they were best friends since they were 7. They played together as kids and as teenagers they hung out a lot in their clan enclave. They considered themselves best friends and never imagined falling in love with each other, but they did. It started with Tora's father, he began having feelings for Tora's mother. Eventually he confessed how her felt to her, but she didn't feel the same way yet. After he told her she thought about it for a long while, and a few months later began to feel the same way. They began a relationship and were extremely happy together. They spent most of their time sipping on hot chocolate and just talking. They already knew pretty much everything there was to know about each other, as they had been best friends for so long. One day he took her out at night to this shrine in the village while it was snowing. It had beautiful hanging lights all around a flowing mountain with snowflakes falling gently down around them. It was here that he proposed to her, and she said yes. Their marriage was like any normal marriage and was over quickly. They spent 2 years married together before she became pregnant with Tora. This was extremely exciting news to them as they had wanted a child, and the child would be next in line to become the clan head. In excitement they prepared for the baby's arrival, reading books on raising kids, buying toys and necessities for any house with a baby in it, and buying furniture for the baby's room. Right on time Tora came along, with her big brown eyes. Her parents chose to name her after the founder of the Kaze clan.
- Childhood Arc:
As a baby Tora was very high maintenance, much like most babies of course. She had trouble controlling her KKG which often led to things in the house getting frozen, and one time she had actually caused it to start snowing in the house. He parents cared for her very much and raised her well, properly teaching her how to walk, talk, ect. when Tora was 2 her mother became pregnant again and eventually had non identical twins. One was a boy the other was a girl. Tora didn't like her siblings at first because they took attention away from her, but she grew to love them and care for them like a big sister should. When Tora was 5 her parents began thinking about whether or not to enroll her in the ninja academy. As the heir to the clan it was only proper that she become a ninja. Eventually however they decided they would let her choose for herself when she was 10. Years past and Tora's 10th birthday arrived, this is when her parents asked her if she wanted to become a ninja. Tora first asked them if she could have a month to decide, and they said yes. She spent that month studying and learning all she could about ninja, and the more she learned the more she warmed up to the idea. After the month had past Tora told her parents her decision, and that was that she did want to go to the academy. Her parents were happy at her decision and immediately put her into the school. There she learned many things, the first being the basic tools of ninja and how to handle them, this was fairly easy for Tora. The next part was she had to learn about chakra, not only what it is but how to use it. Then she learned about hand signs and had to do the tedious task of memorizing all of them. The last thing she learned in the academy was the various academy jutsu. These were difficult at first but she got the hang of it. By the time the testing came around Tora was ready for it and passed it with ease, becoming a genin and being assigned to a team.
- Genin Arc:
Tora was proud to be a genin but she wanted more, she wanted a higher rank, and she constantly bothered her team to go on missions with her. She was extremely impatient and rude to her team mates and especially her squad leader. Because of this she was forced to sit out on a mission. This pissed her off and made her fly off the handle. She attacked her squad leader in a rage but he quickly put her down and set her straight. She begrudgingly apologized and then walked away in embarrassment. Tora trained a lot as a genin trying to increase her strength so she could be promoted. She had a goal in mind to be the first genin in her team to get promoted to chunin, but this was crushed when her teammate received a promotion to chunin before she did, according to her teacher she had the abilities of a chunin but she didn't have the mindset of a chunin. This pissed her off and made her quit training for a month. She got back to it eventually though and worked on her temper and impatient nature. Her squad leader finally allowed her to enter the chunin exams. In the chunin exams she came across hard tests and powerful opponents, but she progressed through them all. Her last match was against an opponent that used fire release, something fairly strong against her ice release. She was a bit worried at this and expected to lose, she still fought her best though and was thrashed around pretty good. Eventually however Tora was able to beat her opponent, getting them to pass out from exhaustion. Tora received the promotion she had been longing for, to get to chunin.
- Chunin Arc:
Upon becoming chunin, Tora felt extremely proud of herself and started putting other people down. Her pride in herself was over zealous and people started to back away from her, not wanting to be around because all she would ever do is talk about herself. She continued her training, but she did most of it alone, thinking that everyone else was holding her back, yet another action caused by her new found pride. Her training didn't go so well by herself, she made improvements still, but not near as much as she had been making training with her team. She noticed this but she didn't care, she was too blinded by her self centered attitude. She went on a couple missions by herself but one time when she asked to be assigned a mission she was told no, she was told that she had to go on missions with her team or she won't be able to at go on any at all. Begrudgingly Tora went on a mission with her team, they were to simply escort a man being targeted by enemy ninja to a certain village that was a couple days travel away. The travel was long and cold, and they were attacked a few times, but the team always managed to take out the opponents without any injuries. The final day of the trip, when they were now only a few hours away from their destination, they were attacked by a jonin level ninja. He fought on par with Tora's squad leader. The squad leader told them to protect the person they were escorting and let him do the fighting, as the battle would be too much for them to handle. Tora's pride took over and she attacked the ninja anyways, leaving an open space for the ninja to attack the person they were escorting, it also distracted the squad leader. The enemy ninja took his chance and was able to injure the squad leader's right shoulder, then he aimed his attack on the person they had to protect. He went down with a shuriken from the enemy ninja, and Tora's eyes widened seeing the man die. She knew it was her fault and couldn't handle realizing that. The team's combined efforts let them overcome the enemy ninja, but they had failed the mission in the end. They traveled the rest of the way to the village and explained how the man had died. At last they turned back to head to Korigakure. Tora was shaken up the rest of the trip and had many things running through her mind. Once they got back to Korigakure she began studying peace, and enlightenment. Her studies over time removed her self centered attitude, and any rage and anger she had inside her. Tora worked hard to become as peaceful a person as she could, because of the events of that mission. It completely changed her negative qualities, which there was a lot of. She still wasn't perfect, but she had become much more of a likable and respectable person. Her team noticed the change and warmed back up to her, and they did most of their activities together again just like they did when the team first came together. Tora followed her orders from then on and didn't think of herself as better then others. Training with the team caused her to develop much faster then she was training by herself. Eventually she was promoted to Special Jonin.
- Special Jonin Arc:
As a special jonin, Tora didn't train very much, a lot of family matters came up that she had to take care of, because of this she spent a lot of time as a special jonin. The first thing that came up is her younger brother got extremely sick and went to the hospital. The medics couldn't figure out what was wrong with him but they said he was dying. Tora spent most of her time next to his hospital bed, some nights she even fell asleep there by accident. Every morning she brought something in for him that she knew he loved, be it food, or some type of personal item. Tora's younger sister often spent time in there as well, as did their parents. He had a lot of company while he was in the hospital and that no doubt helped him. Eventually the medics finally found out what was wrong with him, and they found an operation that could save him, but it had a good chance of killing him. Ultimately the choice was up to him, and he figured if he was gonna die without the operation then the risk makes no difference, so he accepted the procedure. It was long and took hours, but eventually they finished with positive results. They had cured him of the sickness that was in him and he survived it. It took months for him to completely recover but he was always surrounded by family members and friends, so it wasn't really that bad. He successfully made a full recovery and Tora was able to get back to being a ninja. She trained twice as hard as normal to make up for the time lost, and her improvements were tremendous, she went on a few missions with other ninja and went on some alone and was finally noticed by the higher ups. Tora was promoted to Jonin for her hard work, which of course payed off.
- Jonin Arc:
Tora being a jonin was something exciting to her family, neither them nor her ever expected her to become a jonin one day. She was proud of herself, although it wasn't the same pride she had when she was a chunin. Her studies of peace had removed that emotion from her entirely, often times she reflected back on her experiences and how she reacted to them. It often ended in her shaking her head and wishing she had done things differently. There was never a day she didn't thing of the man that died because of her, but she thanked that man every day as well. Because if it wasn't for him, she would have never changed, and she wouldn't be the person she is today. At the age of 23 now Tora has become a grown woman, and a powerful shinobi. The kage sent her on many difficult missions by herself, sometimes she came back injured, sometimes she came back perfectly fine, but no matter what, every time she successfully completed the mission, going beyond what was expected of her. Once time she had to go to the hospital because she almost lost her arm, she was told she would need an amputation but she refused she asked them to do more research because there had to be a better way. They listened to her and spent a few days researching, but every day Tora's condition worsened. Eventually they came up with a way to save her arm and she was released from the hospital. A few weeks and she was back to training and missions. Training she didn't do much of anymore though, missions helped her improve much more then training at this point. There wasn't much she could teach herself anymore. She missed her squad that she had been on when she was younger. They too were now jonin level, she knew their squad leader was proud. One day she was chosen by the kage to be promoted to S-Rank ninja, something she had never seen coming. She figured jonin was the end of the line for her, but she kept improving anyways. Upon being promoted she realized that if the kage died, she was next in line to become the Shimokage. When Tora was 24 the Shimokage died of a disease that had infected him, he was far too old for his body to fight back and it took him out. Tora was young, but she was chosen to be the next Shimokage. Tora humbly accepted it and took her place as the Kage of Korigakure.
RP Sample: Tora walked through the snowy tundra outside of her village. It was freezing out, and her presence only made it colder. She sighed, she had set out to find a small missing nin camp outside her village. It was a fairly simple duty, she simply needed to wipe them out. As the Kage she assigned the mission to herself, all the Jonin were out of the village on missions or vacations, and anyone of lower rank was too weak for this job. So that led to these events, much to her displeasure. She didn't enjoy missions that involved direct assassination, although this rogues did deserve it, still though her opinion on it remained. She sighed, her breath visible in front of her face. She was wearing her usual attire with a white cloak over it, she had the hood of the cloak over her face, this effectively disguised her in the snowy environment, making her seem translucent from a distance, superstitious people may have even thought her to be a ghost. In the distance she could see a small campfire and some tents pitched around it. she found them at last. She casually walked up to the camp and called out, "Anyone around?". A few moments later 3 ninja walked out of the tents. They didn't give her a second thought and attacked her. She deflected all their slashes and weapons with a basic kunai. "Listen I just want to talk, is that possible?" she asked pleadingly. They attacked again, this time faster and harder. Tora pulled out another kunai and deflected them using the two she had in each hand. "I guess not..." she sighed, jumping backwards and then creating a dome of ice mirrors around her and her opponents. She entered into the mirror closest to her and then all mirrors reflected her image. The rogue ninja grouped together and looked around in bewilderment. Two clones of hers began dashing through the mirrors. The rogue ninja could barely see them. Finally Tora began doing the same thing her clones were, except she threw 10 ice senbon each time she came out of the mirrors. In a matter of seconds all the rogue ninja were laying down on the ground in pulls of blood. Covered in ice needles. Tora raised her hand and the mirrors shattered. She rubbed her head and sighed as she turned back to head to the village.
