Smoldered and covered in ash, the once great and prosperous capital of the empire lays in ruins. The majority of the city rests underneath thick pools of lava that circulates between the surface and the volcano beneath. Those parts fortunate enough to not be covered are littered with the bodies of people frozen in time, covered in ash and volcanic rock formed after the initial wave of destruction, capturing the final moment of terror for those not fast enough to escape.

Mount Saint Pride is the largest active volcano in the entire Sun Flare Province. It is constantly active, firing magma and smoke from its top in a continuous stream, seemingly emptying the earth's core of its fiery depths. Because of the large soot deposits coming from this huge volcano, the sky and ocean surrounding it for 5 miles around are all dark grey. The ocean has no life, and the sky no birds. It is a desolate area that is frequently used by the region's elite for vigorous training.

The Smoldering Forest of the Sun Flare Province is one of the many wonders of this world. The Forest is blessed by some unknown divinity to be constantly aflame. The trees and vegetation never burn away, and their fires can never be put out. Some folk believe that the 7-tailed demon cursed it with his Blaze Release in order to be a more suitable home before he was sealed inside his current host. Others say that it was the doing of the Uchiha clan, but its mystery cannot be confirmed.
