Kuma Claws tekko-kagi (ninja claws)
Description: The Kuma Claws are a semi-mechanical pair of devices designed as weapons specific to the clan they draw their name from. While not activated they can serve as protection for the back of the hands though their main function lies in their offensive potential. The claws are designed like those of a bear (though there are only three claws per hand) and slice like them. Able to cut cleanly through flesh they are perfect for close quarters combat. The activate the claws the wielder needs only to close their hand to squeeze a pressurized bar, springs and gear flip the claws around into position like a switchblade. Unlike most steel weapons though their potential for piercing metal is weak, the only way to break through metal is to stab and even then they can only pierce iron.

History of Item: These claws are the signature weapons of the greatest warriors of the Kuma clan, given only to a warrior of the bloodline after they have proven their worth in a true battle and emerged victorious. Throughout the history of the Hidden Forest village these claws have become well known on the part of it's defenses as well as a piece of its culture. That culture being the hall of stories, a cave located on the land of the Kuma clan, where skilled warriors granted these weapons come to sharpen their blades on the walls.
