Adjusting to the Cold [Day One]

Day One

Kushino was assigned the task to travel in the cold completely naked to the center of the village, atleast thats what she thought. She would have to sit on a throne of ice and adjust her body to the cold. The task was easier said then done, by far. The cold on her bare skin felt slightly painful as she traveled to the throne. She would soon be nearing her destination and already she felt like giving up. Kushino reached the throne, It was beautiful to say the least, she felt bad that she was about to sit on it bare ass but then she waved it off, it was Takeru's fault and if he didn't like it, it was his own problem. Kushino sat on the throne sending a wave of goosebumps over her body, the feeling was strange and incredibly cold but she felt like she would be able to endure for awhile. Kushino just sat there trying to adjust herself to become warm but was find it hard, she had here knees close to her face and arms wrapped around them to keep them in place, her body shivering.

I decided that when I finally woke up with a splitting headache and a bump on my head from slamming into the floor last night that I would go check on the girl and make sure she hadn't died yet. Completely forgetting that she had decided to go there bare ass. I walked over the the throne and upon seeing her my nose once again started to bleed and again I acquired my nervous twitch. But rather than slamming myself into something head first I squinted my eye and gave a faint smile, trying to hide what was going on. I then however seemed to have lost enough blood from now and last night that I fell forward so that I was face first in the snow which was slowly starting to turn red around my face.

When Takeru awoke he saw that the girl was still gone he grudgingly admired her tenacity, that is if she wasn't dead. He began preparing another meal of orca meat to satiate his gnawing hunger and as an afterthought put another slab of meat on for the girl and Shitai. He looked around the room to wake his friend up and realised that the man wasn't there. Sighing he shouldered the still steaming hunk of meat and made his way to where his throne sat in the middle of the ruins, the dancing light of sin were fainter during the day but still playfully flitted through the ruined buildings. As he passed the unconscious body of Shitai he sighed, tossed the cooked killer whale at the foot of the throne and bent to smack the man awake. "Eat that girl, you need food to keep up your strength." Her skin was covered in a slight layer of frost that made her look almost crystalline in the morning light.

Kushino sighed as Shitai entered the room, blood falling from his nose and he fell to the floor ''Ahh.. and he calls me weak'' She sighed. Kushino was incredibly cold by now and she was about to get up to help Shitai but she was startled as Takeru entered. Kushino watched as he threw a piece of meat to her like she was some kind of dog and an aggravated look crossed her face. Kushino reached over and grabbed the meat, while still sitting on the throne with a nod ''Thank you sir'' she smiled. In a split second Kushino devoured the meat, after spending a night in the cold the meat tasted like heaven, warming her body slowly with each bite. A burp escaped her lips as her face went red, a scary thought crossed her mind that she would become like these two, messy pigs. Kushino let out a slight laugh as she adjusted herself on the throne so her 'parts' were covered once more. ''Did I do good?'' she said with a questioning look.

I was woken up soon by Takeru smacking me across the face, shaking it off I took a bite of the rancid tasting whale meat and then looked back to Kushino who then said 'Do I look good' and whether it was intentional or not she seemed to say it in a rather seductive manner as she attempted to once more cover her...parts. Another spurt of blood came from my nose as my face went pale. Before I got to the point where I would pass out again I looked to the older man and said, "We should go hunting like...now."

Takeru grunted when the girl asked if she did good and looked at him as though he was a barbarian. "Does it look like we have fancy cutlery and plates here girl? We eat this here because we have to, this isn't some fancy house in the village." He sat down with his own whole whale and soon enough had finished the whole thing himself, barely pausing to draw breath as he ate. He ignored Shitai's question, he had enough meat stored to last him another several days and the pair weren't quite up to facing the wildlife yet. "So girl what did you think-" He faded off as a wave of drowsiness hit him and he nodded off into a small nap, eating always made him tired.

Kushino watched as once again Shitai lost blood, the man was incredibly weird to say the least. Kushino brought her attention back to Takeru with a puzzled look. It wasn't like she was expecting anything fancy though she would rather her food not come from the floor. Kushino wasn't use to eating in such way, perhaps that was another thing she had to get use to living with Takeru. Kushino was eagerly awaiting Takeru's question when suddenly he was dozing off ''EHHHH!'' She moaned wide eyed. What was with him? If anyone was tired it should have been her. Kushino scratched the back of her head confused staring at the two apparently powerful men before her, one couldn't handle seeing her naked and the other couldn't even keep himself awake. ''Umm... Are you going to finish your question or?..'' She replied confused. Kushino threw the bone she had so it would hit Shitai, hopefully snapping him out of his silly phase.

Takeru seemed to fall over asleep and the girl asked him a question that I couldnt understand since I was phasing out from blood loss. Then I felt something nail me in the back of the head, my eyes rolled back into my head and I fell over on top of the bear man.

The impact of Shitai's body roused Takeru from his sleep. "-of the cold? A little thing like you, i'm surprised you made it through the night." He picked up Shitai and tossed him aside into a snow drift to cool off, it was as if the man had never seen a naked woman before and this was was just barely out of childhood, at least in Takeru's eyes. "That man is behaving like a newborn cub." He had realised he had begun adopting the Hachibi's mannerism of referring to those smaller and younger than himself as a cub, it was an unwanted change of character but he decided it was too much effort to change it. "So have you rethought your promise yet girl? I can see the night was cold enough to chock some sense into you, you're no longer bouncing up and down like a schoolgirl looking for a task."

Kushino watched as Shitai was hit in the back of the head by her bone, trying to hold back her laughter she watched as he fell on Takeru awaking him from his sleep. She listened as he finished his question then throw Shitai across the room. ''The cold? The cold is just another obstacle. I think Im use to it now, though it didn't help I was completely naked'' she scoffed. Kushino nodded as he called Shitai a cub and a slight smile crossed her face, she was almost tempted to say he seemed like a virgin but she didn't want to be rude. Kushino sratched her head at Takeru's last question for a moment ''I will still remain to my promise, though there is one last thing Ill ask of you..'' She said pausing for a moment to catch her breath. ''Will you allow me to still participate in the Chuunin Exams?'' She added.

I slowly got to my feet again and looked to Takeru, ignoring Kushino completely at this point for the sake of my health. "Can we please get her some clothes before I die, I haven't seen a naked woman in years and I can't say I'm enjoying my introduction back to the female body being one still in puberty." My skin was as white as the snow and I looked as though I had one foot in the grave, my kikai at this point were the only things keeping my conscious.

Takeru could barely keep the surprise off of his face. "You're not even a chuunin? Of course you'll be taking the exams, though this throws a bit of a spanner in the works." He paused for a moment to consider how best to continue, when another thing she said struck him. "You're used to the cold you say?" He rose from his seated position and moved to where the girl was seated. In one swift movement he grabbed her by the ankle and held her up in the air. He casually crossed to a large pile of snow and promptly dumped her into it. Her lie about the cold would not fool him, his own resistance to it came from the Hachibi and even then it had taken him weeks to ignore it. For this girl she would be freezing and dumping her into the snow would only make it worse. "If anything i question your judgement, think back on what i said. Did i ever explicitly say take off everything? Even i'm wearing pants. What kind of lady struts about in the nude in front of two grown men without a second thought?"

Kushino was shocked by Takeru's reply about her rank, she took it as a compliment. "Yes I am still a Genin, thats why I want to harness my skills so I can stand a chance. The Chuunin exams are fulled with powerful boys an I want to be strong enough to face off with them" she said.

Kushino found herself shoved inside a pile of snow, her body shivering once again, ok so she lied about being use to the cold but it was only so she could put on a brave face. Kushino felt her face go red as Takeru finished his sentence, he was right he never said anything about her having to go full commando, she was just too eager o follow his orders that she flew out the door without thinking. She made a foolish mistake and both her and Shitai paid the price. Kushino felt like an idiot though she still had something to say "I apologise, I wasn't payin.attention. I was too eager and never allowed myself to fully think nor listen.." she said shivering. She was incredibly cold now, after spending a night in the cold her body was finally starting to feel its full affect.

I would let my eye follow Takeru until he lifted the girl by her ankle, the views I caught a glimpse of made me turn around, if I had enough blood left in my body I would bleed again but there was nothing. I simply stared at the wall dead eyed and completely stiff.

Takeru's expression grew stern and he found himself barking at the girl. "Stop apologizing like a child just off their mothers aprons strings. Go put some clothes on before you die of frostbite and come right back here. Go! Now!" He sat back against the wall and dozed off again while he waited for her to do as he said. She really was a foolish little girl.

Kushino used Takeru sleeping as her chance to go and get her clothes, she ran out of the room and back to the house. Entering inside she stood infront of the fire place as she got changed allowing her body to warm up and dry off. She quickly got her clothing as to not keep Takeru waiting. She was now ready to return to the throne. Kushino raced back to the two men, clothed fully now. She entered and noticed Takeru was still napping so she made her way to sit on the throne.

With time the color was starting to return to my face, so far my impression of the girl was that she was both extremely foolish as well as incompetent. As she returned I walked over and tapped the bear man on the shoulder so that he'd wake up and continue giving orders.

Takeru cracked an eye open as he felt a slight tap on his shoulder. He took a look over at the girl, now fully clothed and seated firmly back on the throne, with her clothes on she looked much more confident and capable. "In the plains outside the village there is a special plant with a rather unique taste. It has a blue flower and white stem and leaves, its called a Snowflower. Unfortunately the Snowflower is a delicacy of the native wolf population, bring me an armful of those flowers girl." She still hadn't offered her name and he was not inclined to ask, if she was dull enough to have forgotten to introduce herself then she deserved to be called 'girl' and 'child'.
