Summit Ocean is the coldest part of the entire known ninja world. It is entirely too cold for any being to live in, the temperatures are below -50 degrees Fahrenheit at its lowest. The longest any man has ever been able to sail on these waters was two hours before freezing to death. The waters are always restless and never still, making it extremely treacherous to traverse across this area. The combination of the cold and the restless waters are the two main reasons no one has ever tried to explore through the ocean.

The Tekuta Farmstead is the home of the wealthiest family in the current ninja world, the Tekuta family. They have control of a large portion of the southern half of the Tundra Province, bordering both the Mountain Province and the Deep Sea Province. They sell wheat and tobacco for a profit, and trade it throughout the western hemisphere, the area controlled by the rebellion. Because the eldest son of the family, Shizen Tekuta, is one of the rebellion's kage, the family has pledged their allegiance to the rebellion.
