| You are led to a door within the heights of the Lonely Tower. The man who leads you tells you to wait, count to ten and then enter the room. he walks off and leaves you alone to your own devices. True to your word you wait for ten seconds then travel inside. You find yourself in a large room room separated into two halves by a gaping hole in the centre of the floor. A narrow bridge crosses the 30 ft gap and a light wind blows through numerous large windows on either side of the room, a quick glance within the pit reveals it drops down into darkness but you can just make out a large set of spikes that would surely impale you if you were to fall down. Standing in front of a door directly opposite you is The Proctor, he smiles and addresses you. "Welcome participant, to the first phase of the Chuunin Exams. Your task in this phase is simple -ahem." he gestures to the door behind him. "You are to simply cross the room and enter this door -ahem." His grin turns wicked and he lowers his head to look at you from below his hat. "You will not be told of any traps and dangers that could exist in this room, it is up to you to decide how you cross, you must simply enter the opposing door within an hour, failure to do so will result in failing the exams - ahem." With that he turns and leaves through the door.
This should be easy enough, all I have to do is walk through the door and I'm through to the next round!
Arizen started to walk towards the plank, However, it took only three steps for him to come to his senses. Wait...
He thought back to the Pumpkin's words. "You will not be told of any traps and dangers that could exist in this room"
"You must simply enter the opposing door within an hour"
An hour? Why am I given that long to simply walk through a door anyways? This is almost like... A cleverly executed prank. Surely something's gonna happen if I try to just waltz in. Arizen was a master of the fine art of pranks, and knew a potential trap when he saw one. After all, he had pulled off several traps like this of his own. I'll need to tread carefully here...
He dropped a shuriken on the plank to see what would happen.

| After a couple of minutes of waiting, he saw that nothing happened. Arizen picked up his shuriken, and proceeded to walk slowly across the plank, searching for any hidden traps. He took long steps, then shorter steps in no real pattern to avoid any string. Another thing to watch would be the ceiling, for anything could drop onto him from above. He remembered a prank he pulled when he was around 12, where he set up numerous water balloons on the ceiling of his house and let them all down at his cousins.
Hehe, good times, he thought, almost giggling,
He was around halfway across the plank now. He got out a kunai from his pocket. He looked below, he looked to the sides, he looked behind himself, he looked up, and he looked forward. Always watching, always waiting for something.

| 20 minutes later, he was two thirds of the way across the bridge. A single drop of sweat drooped slowly from his forehead as he inched slowly across the plank while trying to keep his balance, all the time searching around for potential danger.
Just... a little... more...Yes!
Finally, after 5 more minutes, he reached the other side of the plank. But it wasn't exactly over yet.
He still had to get to the door.
He walked slowly, but this time more comfortably, towards the door.
The Door: one of the most common lures for an obvious prank.
Arizen proceeded to throw a Kunai at the door and waited a few minutes to see what would happen. When nothing did happen, he crept a bit further. He lightly tapped the ground with his foot. Nothing happened. He tried again, a bit harder. Still nothing.
If there's any trap here at all, it'll activate when I open the door.
Those pranks were by far the oldest in the book, and Arizen believed that no good prankster should ever use that prank, ever. However, it helps to be sure. He carefully turned the knob, and slowly began to open the door. Sure enough, there was a string at the end of the door that sent kunai flying from both sides. Arizen just managed to push himself back in time as the Kunai clashed against each other. In his epic maneuver he tripped and fell backwards, only to have accidentally dodged a huge stone that fell from above. Amazed at his luck, he carefully walked towards the door, and without opening it all the way, went through to the other room.
"Hey, Pumpkin head! I made it! What's the next stage?"
