To my friends and family,

I'm issuing an official role call for any supportive member of Naruto Province. This does not mean necessarily that I am booting up the site, I just want to know who is still alive out there. A shout back would be appreciative.

I am still here as always. So far I have already gotten a few replies back from people who are willing to come back to RP. They just need to be notified. I can have them post here if that is helpful.

I've emailed the entire community, so if someone out there got it and they want to come back, they should let me know.

My exams are over finally

Normally I would send this in a message to the head admin, but it seems that messaging is disabled for members with under a certain number of posts so I'll make this brief. I know very little of the condition of this site or the interests of the members that remain. I operate [url=nindao.proboards.com]Nindao[/url] a similar Naruto based custom RP. We have few members, but a lot of material. I have been pouring over the internet looking for communities that are slow, dead, dying, or in need of help, in order to offer the admin the opportunity to merge their community and RP with Nindao. This is what I have come to offer Province.

This is rather audacious, especially to publicly announce it, but I assure you all that I mean no offense. As I said, I would have sent this as a private message, but that does not seem to be an option. This thread seemed to be the best way to gain the appropriate attention based on its topic. If you will humor me I can go into greater detail about the ideas that I have, including negotiations, otherwise I will move along and bother you no more.

I will return here in a few days to check for your response, or I can be contacted sooner at Nindao. Based on the perception that this topic has given me, and from what I can glean from the board itself, I feel that a merger may be beneficial to both our communities and RP's. If you decide against this idea, I fully understand. With only a cursory glance, I don't think this directly breaks a rule of your board, but it certainly is in the same spirit as breaking a rule. I assure you, however, that my goal is a noble one no matter how brash this post may be.

Though I am not the head admin himself I am one of the larger members (admin) of the community here so I will give some form of response. This board was left for dead around this time last year and remained that way until this topic started about a month ago stating our intent to see about reviving it. I will admit it both appears and is fairly dead for now, a giant community is not our goal however. At least that isnt our goal for right now. Slowly but surely the staff here have been working on a fairly large scale revamp of basically every system we have but the site is more a side project for all of us as we start new jobs and enter a new semester of college. I know at one point many of us didn't really care to join any proboards sites but perhaps that can change if deemed a good idea.

That said I will try to contact the head admin for you so he can tell you his answer as well.

Thank you for the honest response and information. I understand that it may be more desirable to remain independent for many reasons. It may even not be possible to continue playing with the responsibilities of life bearing down. I too am in a similar boat with my next year of college coming up and picking up more hours. Even still, Nindao is less of a side project for me so I can provide a boost in effort. Additionally, Xesna, my lieutenant, is similar, albeit temporarily slowed due to a lack of internet access.

What I would like to add to the earlier post is that I would be willing to negotiate nearly everything at Nindao so the ideas that you guys have been revamping don't have to go to waste and they can be considered as a part of the merger. We have been in development for about as long as you guys role played, considering that development was started in late 2011, and the soft opening was this time last year; the full opening being a few months ago. This has allowed for a great deal of material to be generated, going from custom generic jutsu, to literature written from an in-universe perspective: histories, biographies, pseudo-scientific journals, legends, etc...

My goal is to unite communities together so that they don't fade and die. The community we have is small, but it is dedicated. In all our years there we have never died, though there was a hiatus for a few months. Because we have this ability, I figure that we can pool together communities on the brink and bring them together, offering a wealth of creativity to admins, help to the staff in regulating a site, and people for those players that have time but no one to play with at their site. I have asked others before coming here. Some have agreed, while others were not on the brink as I thought they were and have prospered after declining my offer.

I'll keep checking in for responses. Thank you again for attempting to contact the head admin for me.

Hope? Hope? Lets effing do this crap! I have an idea. I think we always ran into problems of everything being so spread out and having few ppl to RP with. I had an idea of doing a post-apocalyptic style Naruto thing where everyone is mashed into one village.
