Bloodline: Yasei no keijō (Wild Shape)

Bloodline Ability: The members of the Kuma clan are able to transform parts of their body into those of bears with ease without the risk of losing their human side. By the time a Kuma clan member has reached the strength to graduate from the academy they have enough control over this ability to transform into a small bear cub (fur color matching that of their hair) though this does nothing to affect their abilities. In addition whenever a member of the clan uses a taijutsu, due to their deep connection with nature and their inner beast, the effects produced are so natural to them that it costs one rank less in chakra cost (E ranks still cost 5). This excludes any technique with an elemental attachment and/or nintaijutsu. All clan members are required to have Taijutsu as their primary specialization.

Clan History: When the forest was still young there were people living among the branches and the animals themselves as a natural part of the flow. Some grew very close to specific species like the tiger or the hawk but the Kuma clan were a proud folk who valued physical strength and a burning will to fight, these people were known as the tribe of bears. They lived for many years as constant thorns in the sides of other people until the raids that nearly destroyed them came an they were almost forced by fate to ally themselves with the rival clan the Lacerta to seek shelter with the Druids. They were welcomed and lived in peace for man generations as a culture of their own alongside their new found friends until the empire rose and desired the creation a hidden shinobi village in what the decided to call the Forest Province. The druids offered their rich land for this project and within a few years it was complete. Unlike the allies the Lacerta the Kuma embraced the people of the new hidden forest village as friends as though they had been here just as long as they had been but never forgot their the strongest alliances lay with the lizards and druids. The first kage of the hidden forest was of elven blood and openly shared some of the minor secrets of his clan with the people he ruled. When he passed on to the afterlife there was some aggression that surfaced during the meeting to decide who would be next to rule. After a decision made by the druids to forgo their right to rule as the village was built on their land to the more blood thirsty Dragon clan things started to spiral out of control. The new leader was slaughtered in his first battle against the local tribes of non-shinobi and his clan blamed the Druids for their loss. The Kuma and Lacerta rose to meet this threat and a battle between the Morigakure trio and the rest of the village broke out. This battle raged for over a year and in the end both sides suffered extreme losses and called a truce under the druids wisdom even though a victory that would potentially destroy the village for good was within sight. The druids knew this as did the Kuma and they desired to see the will of the first kage endure as a strong village rather than to have it destroyed over something like this. A new deal was struck that would place the role of leader forever in the hands of the Dovahkiin, passing from father to son until the end of time and while they would never fogive or forget these losses as the druids were able to the civil war of Morigakure left an enduring scar on every one of the bear warrior households. For many generations this clan lived in quiet peace, not forgetting the slaughter the village had laid out upon them until one day there came invader's to the village who burned much of the housing down after acquiring the location of the village from an ancient library. Eventually these invader's were defeated but many of the village's great clans suffered large losses and none was greater than the proud Kuma who never left the front lines even once to refresh themselves while their allies needed to recuperate. Eventually it was discovered that these invaders were acting alone and were simply trying to destroy the village to set up a new base. This group had members of every village in it and although the great council of the Dovahkiin has hidden this fact from the history books and banned the speaking of it publicly the Kuma know all to well since it was them doing most of the fighting. Since that battle nearly two hundred years ago they have lived quietly in distrust of most everyone outside of their own clan and their strong allies of the lizards and trees.

This technique takes the user's fingers and transforms them into the claws of a bear, making the finger/claw 6 inches long and as hard are steel in addition to growing thick fur the same color as the user's hair on their hands and wrists (this hair falls out when the technique ends). The sharpness of the claws makes it so the user can tear away skin and muscle with ease (like a razor blade) but still not going clean through bone, however if enough force is exerted to do so normally they can break bones. These claws last for four rounds with a six round cool down.

This technique morphs the user's nose into that of a bear, the main tracking tool of the powerful species of hunters. Use of this technique increases the user's sense of smell 1000x, allowing them to pick up on even the smallest odors in the area around them for ten feet and able to track down a single scent for up to a half mile or until the trail goes cold (the long range tracking is for out of combat only). This transformation lasts for three rounds with a four post cool down.

Description: Passive; the user of this technique fuels their inner animal into their fingers to increase the strength of their grip to superhuman levels. When this technique has been used to grab something there is no way to detach the Kuma clan member from it except for cutting their hand off or waiting for the duration to come to an end. This powerful grip also grants just enough power to bend things made of iron or weaker. This technique can not be used to rip off someone's body parts but the force of the grip itself however does cause microscopic fractures in the grabbed person's bones which decrease the speed and power of that limb by 10%. 2 round duration (max, can be ended early by letting go), 4 round cool down.

Transformation Specifics: The user lunges forward onto their hands and knees as black hair starts to grow over their entire body and their face grows outward into a snout. Their eyes become those of an animal and their fingers and toes become claws as their teeth sharpen into razor-like teeth, this is the first stage of full transformation that makes the Kuma infamous. The black bear form is nearly six feet tall standing up straight and four feet tall on all fours. The user’s strength increases to +20% what it normally is. However the user is no longer completely themselves anymore, the beast within them is starting to take over their mind so it is impossible to distinguish friend from foe. When one uses this technique is able to attack with power that is able to shatter iron, puncture through steel and snap bones with ease. These swings can move 75 miles per hour and have 11120.55405 newtons of force behind them. When the technique has been activated the effects last for 2 rounds with a cool down of 8 rounds.

Transformation Specifics: The user jerks back and lets out a beast’s roar to the sky like a bear about to take a life from someone foolish enough to wander into its lair. Solid black hair forms over their body as they continue to roar and their face lengthens into a snout, their teeth sharpen and their fingers form into claws as their arms and legs triple in girth as muscle mass builds up underneath the now fur covered skin. They look forward again and their yellow eyes seem to almost glow as they search for their prey. This is the werebear and the pride of the Kuma clan, many have seen this form while only a handful have survived it to retell the story of the almost storybook monster that attacked them. The werebear makes the user grow to three times their normal height and grants a strength of +90%, their teeth and claws are still able to cleanly slice through steel like nothing but are as hard as diamond in durability. The monster form is the only full transformation the clan offers which will allow the user to retain their human mind which is what makes this more dangerous than any other despite the larger gain in strength because no longer will they attack their allies unless they wanted to. Their speed is +50% their base speed if they stand on two legs but moves up to +90% if they run on all fours.
