Section 2: PersonalityPersonality: Haru Raba is a man of many colors, so to speak. His personality is one of a diverse individual. On one end of the spectrum, Haru is a very cynical person. He can often be found cooped up in his office standing over his war map, plotting various ways to try and bring down the rebellion against the empire. Along with this, he has very unique ways of torturing prisoners of war for information. For those he doesn't wish to deal with, he sends to fend for their own in his infamous prison, Portam Inferni.
Haru is also a megalomaniac. He has a dictator like thirst for power, hence his position as the head general of the Imperial Army. This has caused him a great deal of hatred toward the rebellion because of the threat on his power. This also has led him to train fiercely and hone his skills.
On the other side of things, Haru is a pretty fair leader. He distributes justice fairly throughout the various social brackets of his village, though he treats those of the Inner Ring more kindly than the others. This is only because he is concerned with gathering money to fund the Imperial Army. At the same time, he treats the lower members of the village fairly, mainly because he wants them to join the army or help the war cause in some other way.
Other than this, Haru is laid back. His power hungry attitude makes him seem somewhat uptight, but he is quite the contrary. He is often relaxing and touring about the village in his down time. He likes to keep as refreshed as possible so the stress doesn't affect his physical fitness or mental state to jepordize his operations.
Likes: Power - Haru, being a megalomaniac, loves power. Ever since he was a child he's wanted as much as he can get. This led him to be a powerful shinobi, getting in fights and quarrels just to prove his superiority. This also led the Emperor to notice his abilities and get him placed as the general of the Empire's army.
Swords - Since Haru was a mere lad he has had a love for swords and art of kenjutsu. He trained himself thoroughly with a blade despite his clans affinity toward taijutsu. His love for blades has led him to collect a very unique weapon. One of the Seven Swords of the Divide to be specific. His blade is none other than the Second Sword of the Divide: The Gunblade of the Lionheart.
Fighting - Fights and casual spars usually fill the free time of the Taiyoukage. It's relaxing to him and a good way to make sure his soldiers and allies are up to par for his army. Not just this, but it allows him to assert his dominance over those who are below him.
Dislikes/Fears: Losing - One of Haru's biggest dislikes is losing. He loves to assert himself and prove he is better than others, so when he loses, he tends to become angry. In other words, he's a sore loser. He will bend and make up rules just to avoid losing.
Deserters - Being the general of the Imperial Army, he needs a large army to combat the rebellion forces. It pisses him off tremendously when he discovers that the soldiers in his army desert and flee the Empire. It pushes him over the edge if these deserters join the Rebellion later.
Power Threat - The biggest fear and dislike of the Taiyoukage is being stripped of his power. If something comes to threaten his power, Haru will do everything he can to stop this threat. He would risk everything, shy of his life, to keep in power.
Motivation: Haru has two motivations. Each holding a special meaning to him. The first is to put down the rebellion. It is his life goal to put an end to the thorn in his side from the entirety of his reign as Taiyoukage. He has hope that his will bring an end to one power struggle to allow him an opportunity to seize control of the empire for himself. His other motivation is to become the worlds greatest kenjutsu master. He hopes to one day even take up a few pupils and teach them the secrets of his sword style.
Section 3: Clan InformationBloodline: Gomu-Sei no Body (Rubber Body)
Bloodline Ability: The users of this clan have been given the rare ability to stretch their bodies like rubber. Though there are restrictions with this, being the that the users cannot swim.
Each rank corresponds with how much the body can stretch at a time:
Genin: 10 ft
Chuunin: 20 ft
Sp Jounin: 30 ft
Jounin: 40 ft
S Rank/Kage: 50ft
Legendary: 60ft
Note: This is the total stretch limit, meaning if a genin stretches their neck 5 feet, they can only stretch another 5 feet with any body part. The speed of stretching corresponds with the speed of punches at their rank. I.E// A genin can only stretch at 20% speed compared to an S Rank who can stretch at 100%.
Gia Sekando (Gear Second) - The second part of the Kekkai Genkai reached at Jounin. To be able to even use it a 1000 word training topic is required because of its effects. The heartbeat accelerates to a rapid pace, giving the blood stream more oxygen and other nutrients. This makes the clan members 40% faster. It can be used for however long the user feels, but the consequences grow the longer it is used. 5 posts can be done without major damage, just the loss of all energy which means something high in calories is needed to be eaten or the user will pass out. It can be used for a period of time after, but the damage to the body increases as they do so. 1 post can be done with minor damage, only minor muscle fatigue(800 word hospital topic) 2 posts after, the muscles start to tear apart(1200 word training topic) At 3 posts, the muscles rip to shreds and the only thing keeping the user from not moving is pure adrenaline(1600 words). 4 posts after the heart begins to gain heavy stress and is at risk of failing and all muscles are almost completely useless, slowing the user 80% (2000 word recovery). At the final stage, 10 posts after the start and 5 from the safe zone, the user's heart explodes from the stress, causing death. Many kekkai genkai jutsu can be varied using this, but those techniques will need to be registered and purchased separate.
Gia Sādo (Gear Third) - The final part of the Kekkai Genkai available to only true masters of the clan at S Rank. To use the skill, a 1500 word training topic must be done to master the full effects. When used, the user bites onto their thumb joint to make a small hole. This hole is used to inflate the bones of the arm to the size of 15 feet in diameter, which can be distributed throughout the body. It increased strength of the user by 60% but at the cost of mobility, dropping speed by 40%. Because of the massive defensive boost, D and C Rank taijutsu moves glance off and all other are dropped by 20%. This can only be used once every week because of the great strain it puts on the body along with a 1500 word hospital topic to recover from the strain. Lasts for 6 posts. Variations of kekkai genkai moves can be made, but are required to have them approved and purchased separate.
History of Clan: The clan history of the Rabā clan is that of a myth. The origin of the clan is unknown, but as the legend has it, Sage Sanibi found a mysterious fruit while on one of his travels through the provinces. Starving, he ate it in hope of satisfying his hunger, but instead was granted with magic powers that greatly aided his taijutsu skills. From this point in time he adopted the name Rabā and settled down, passing his skills onto the next generation. Over time the story has been contorted and twisted, but the one thing that stayed fact was the abilities of the Rabā clan.
More recently, the clan was re-discovered, the abilities claimed to have died off hundreds of years back. An ordinary man walking in the mountains of Jokigakure slipped and began to fall to his death, but by a miracle, grabbed hold of a rock and stretched his body on complete accident. After realizing his great power, he decided the he would become a ninja in the small village the he was traveling through. He did as he said and became a ninja and eventually the first kage of Jokigakure, placing the village on the map for the first time.
The relations of the clan members was great with the other villagers, all seeming to get along for the most part. Only minor problems arose like a clan member was caught using their stretching skills to get an apple from a vendor, but like true human nature, power lust forced conflict to arise in the peaceful nation. The Hono clan, the clan that was in the village from the start felt threatened by the new power and began a subtle uprising among themselves, waiting to strike for the right time.
A yearly festival was started when Taiya Rabā took office, this was the striking time. When the crowd grew in the central square, the leader of the Hono began the strike that lead to all out rioting and the battling between kage and ANBU captain. Taiya and Tyrus Hono began the battle of a life time, though the kage knew he was going to die. He stretched himself as wide as he could, wrapping himself completely around the Hono who had entered the final stage of their forbidden technique. The shock wave from the fire blast destroyed the most of Jokigakure, leaving behind the crater of what was left. Taiya managed to use his stretching to seal away the forbidden Katon technique along with Tyrus. After the great fight, the Hono took control and the Rabā left the village to become wanderers, which is what they remain to this very day.
The rivalry between the two clans is still great, though the Rabā have moved on instead of stewing over the past. They roam the country sides and through the provinces aiming to find a new place to call home, but the true intent is to soon be welcome in the village they once ruled.
Location of Clan: Scattered
Section 4: BackgroundCharacter History:A Cliche of Humble BeginningsThe parents of Haru Raba are two nameless figures, all that is known is that they were nomads with the rest of the clan. They aren't really nameless, only to Haru they are, mainly because of all his pent-up rage about being forgotten. Anyway, back to the history. He was born on an overcast day on the roads leading up to Jokigakure as his group of clansmen were leaving toward Fukamigakure. His parents and a few others stayed back for a little while as his mother gave birth. Anxious to see if their son was okay, his parents and the others rushed to the nearest hospital to have him examined. He was a perfectly healthy kid and his parents couldn't have been happier, but their was one problem, they couldn't be left behind.
A Predictable Turn of EventsAfter several days of waiting in the hospital for Haru to be dismissed, his parents were out of time. The pack was already several days ahead of them and there was no telling where they would head after Fukamigakure. They left after making the difficult decision to leave Haru behind. Shortly after Haru was placed into the village's orphanage to await adoption or for his parents to return. To no surprise, his parents never returned and Haru was left stranded in a village that was never intended to be his home. Thus starting his resentment towards his parents.
Early ChildhoodHaru spent most of his early life in the orphanage, being taught the basic things a child should, like how to read and shit like that. He despised the deplorable conditions he lived in, but it was also all he had. Every opportunity he had, he would head into the Market District of the village to help the head-mistress shop for their groceries. He would stray off and watch fights in the streets and with what little money he could find, he would bet on them. Soon enough, he'd accumulated enough winnings to buy his first real token of freedom, his first katana. Since then, Haru has been in love with the art of kenjutsu. He would sneak out of the orphanage as much as often with the sword and practice on rotting fruit in the alleyways.
Several weeks after he bought the sword, the head-mistress discovered it hidden under his mattress. She confiscated it immediately, which sent Haru into a rage. He began to punch and kick everything in sight and soon discovered the stretching ability that he possessed from his kekkai genkai. After taking on the orphanage staff, he knocked them all out and took his sword back. The rush that was flowing through his body was a new. exciting feeling. He loved it, thus planting the seed for his power lust. He did the only thing he could to feed this power lust, which happened to be joining the ninja academy.
The Ninja Academy and GeninHaru remained in the ninja academy for many years, always at the top of his class, yet was restricted from graduating because of his refusal to follow shinobi code. His constant lust for power led to him constantly picking fights with the other students, often times putting them in intensive care. Though from an early age he as watched by the Emperor. Spies for the leader of the Empire kept eyes out for potential recruits from an early age. It is suspected that the academy as bribed, but finally after 4 years, Haru graduated. Shortly after, he was recruited by the Empire.
As a genin, Haru spent a majority of time training in the Imperial camps throughout the world, honing his skills and aiding in missions. It was known from a young age that he would one day be a high ranking officer within the Empire's army. For the time being he was to slowly climb the ranks. He started as foot soldier, mainly one who ran messages to command posts. He did what he was told and quickly grew out of this job. Within a years time, 9 year old Haru was a chuunin.
Climbing the RanksOnce Haru hit the rank of Chuunin, he spent several years climbing the ranks of the Imperial Army as well as he rank as a shinobi. His time was mainly devoted to following the leading general as an understudy. Most of Haru's battle knowledge came from this man. Many battles ensued and each time Haru and his sensei made it out in one piece, a daunting task for an 11 year old. He was soon promoted to the rank of Corporal and Special Jounin.
As a Corporal in the army, Haru led several espionage missions into foreign nations, gathering as much information as he possibly could. He may not have been the highest ranking officer, but his squad quickly led the army in successful missions. In his entire time leading his spy squad, there was only one close call within Fukamigakure when the squad was separated as they hid undercover as palace guard recruits. Haru kept his it and casually blended into the village life for several weeks as he found his squad mates and sent them home. His mission as a failure, but his show of heart in rescuing granted him a promotion. This was all he was concerned with, more power. His combat intelligence grew by the day. He soon took up assassination contracts and fulfilled them as a solo squad. He continued to catch the Emperor's eye.
Several years and hundreds of altercations later Haru hit the rank of jounin with great ease. He had honed his kenjutsu skill to near perfection and was now second in control of the entire army. His final goal was to best his master in a fight, then he would become the general. When it came for the fight, Haru drew his simplistic katana that he had kept all these years. It was nothing compared to the officers blade that the general used. The fight ensued, but several minutes in, Haru's only sword was broken. He was devastated for the time being. He soon heard a rumor in the wind about a legendary blade known as Lionheart. He researched as much as he could and set off for this prized weapon of the ages.
The Gunblade of the LionheartHaru's research led him on a quest that brought him all over the world chasing clues. First he explored the forest province to find the tomb of Lionheart himself. Within this tomb held the location of the actual blade, but first he had to conquer the dungeon. He spent almost a day making his way through the maze of catacombs until he found a massive door with the crest of Lionheart. Bingo. He tried to move the door but nothing worked. Finally he got pissed enough that his body entered Gear Second without him even knowing. He smashed through the door, sending pieces of the shattered door flying into the back wall, getting embedded. After the phase ended, Haru found himself weak and in need of energy. He passed out and later woke up with a splitting headache, but at least he had found the tomb. He finally was able to observe the map on the back wall, allowing him to pin point the blades location. Mountain Province.
He was led into the bowels of Death's Edge in the mountain province, where he wandered the caves for hours in hope of discovering whether the blade was fact or fiction. He wandered what appeared to be a labyrinth for several days, killing off the bandits by the dozen. Eventually, Haru found a chamber with a podium in the center, resting on it was none other than Lionheart. After picking up the blade, he would soon discover its power as the defender arose from it's tomb. A massive golem emerged from the walls to keep its sacred prize hidden from the world. If research had been true, there was a weak point in the chest of the rock demon, so Haru slammed on the trigger and watched the fireworks. He had hit the demon, but that wasn't enough. He fought with the beast for what seemed like hours, but finally drove Lionheart into the chest of the golem. He slammed on the trigger again, causing the beast to explode, but along with that, it started a cave in. Haru rushed through the tunnels, trying to find his way out as fast as he can. His heart rate accelerated enough to cause him to enter Gear Second again. He blasted through walls and punched through rock to escape. The traumatic circumstances helped Haru gain mastery over that part of his kekkai genkai. After he recovered for the next few weeks, he returned home. It was time for his final challenge.
The New General in TownAfter his venture that took him nearly a year to complete, Haru returned to challenge his sensei once more. He took to the arena and was greeted by the general. He drew Lionheart and grinned as a look of astonishment covered the faces of the crowd. Haru was now the only person in the world to possess on of the seven legendary blades of the Divide. The battle ensued and swords clashed for hours, Haru was getting his enjoyment out of this fight. Once he grew bored, he forced himself into Gear Second and slammed his sword down as hard as he could, shattering the tempered titanium blade that was lined with diamonds. He was the victor.
After this victory, Haru took to the Imperial Spire and met with his leader and discussed what he was to do as general. He would begin immediately, the first plan of action was to rally with the kages, but the Taiyoukage was unable to attend due to illness. In a moment of power lust, Haru decided to seize control of the village and take it as his own. After all, he needed a way to fund his army one way or another. He was now in control of the entire Imperial Army as well as the village of Jokigakure. His time had come and his next step was to crush the rebellion.
Current AffairsCurrently, the Taiyoukage is searching for funding to expand his army as well as trying establish his prison within Mount Saint Pride. There are currently prisoners of war building the behemoth and it is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Once the facility is complete, Haru will have the worlds largest and highest security prison. No one will be able to escape Portam Inferni. Soon enough, the empire war machine will be firing on all cylinders which will hopefully bring about the demolition of the rebellion. He will be meeting with his fellow kages soon as well, to get a basic understanding for their village defense plans as well as what they will contribute to the army.
RP Sample: Excerpt from the History of Hayoa Oozaru:
Hayoa stood ankle deep in blood and rain saturated mud, surveying the battle field. In this bloody civil war, he was one of the only remaining commanders of the Oozaru army. Now they had to make their last stand on this dreadful day and the odds didn’t look good for his forces. Highly outnumbered and greatly fatigued, they stood little chance in this skirmish. He looked back at his men and nodded. Soon. The Kii surged through his body and hair grew rapidly, along with muscle, size, and height. Game on. It as one on one hundred, and there would be no failure to an Oozaru tribal leader. A swarm of sayians charged toward the thirty foot gorilla that moved toward them, cocking his fist back for his first devastating punch. Just as the first sayian was in range, the fist extended, crushing the ribs, sending several of them out of the back of the man into men behind him. With a right hook, he grabbed three of the men in his hand. He opened his mouth, clenching down on the men as he tossed them in. He grabbed their legs, ripping them from his mouth, leaving pieces of sayian held together by intestine and muscle. The blood stained his massive teeth as he growled at the men, throwing the pieces back at them.
The men began to try a full on attack at Hayoa and his compound. Protecting his people was the primary goal. The civil war would be over soon, but not as it stood, Hayoa wasn't going to let the sayian bastards win without a fight. His claws were sharp as hell now, slashing at the little flies in the air was nothing. He stabbed one straight through the head of one, causing it to explode and the body plummeting to the ground, brains and blood splattering onto the mud. The onslaught continued, with each wave, came more bodies piling onto the ground. Many torn in half, limbless or crippled. As Hayoa caught on of them he looked at the man, whose body was no bigger than the eye that looked at him, he laughed. He began to squeeze, harder and harder, watching the life fade from the eyes of the man, as internal organs spilled from his mouth. The man’s eyes popped out of his head next, he began to beg for death. Hayoa wanting him to suffer, threw him to the ground, he body cracking, but he wouldn't die. His inaudible moans could be heard from thirty feet above as a large foot came down upon him, burying him in the mud, forcing him to suffocate on his own blood and organs. With only a few of the sayian enemy left, Hayoa grew hungry, so he picked up the pile of dead corpses and held them in his hands. He began to shovel them into his mouth, enjoying his dinner, scaring the other sayians shitless.
The remaining sayians all attacked at once, Hayoa charging straight back at them. He charged kii through his hands, readying a kii blast to end them all. As he closed in, he released the blast, disintegrating all in its path. Now there was just one on one. Hayoa reached out quickly, grabbing the man. In his booming voice, Hayoa said,
“Time to play little man.” Hayoa wanted to have some fun so he pinched the man’s arm, slowly pulling, ripping the arm from its socket and off the body itself. He did to the other arm. After the man was defenseless, Hayoa extended his palm, flicking the man, sending him flying almost a mile away. No more threat about. He set out for his next target, the sayian castle. With that he began to charge kii to transmit himself there.
