The Rake: Capther 3 - Rake Me Harder

I dashed through the streets only moments after finishing my research. I wondered why I was doing this for a minute. I hated people, but for some reason, something was compelling my douchebag nature to lay dormant while I dealt with this Rake thing and the problems surrounding it. I'm sure it would come back soon enough, which would make me happy, because I liked being a douchebag. For now, I just followed blood droplets from the library door. The trail would lead me to the woman's house and from there I should be able to find some clues on where the cultists when.

I moved through the streets rapidly, watching as the blood droplets got closer and closer. Her bleeding must've been really bad at first. In a matter of minutes, I'd reached her home and sighed as a large stream of blood was dried on the ground leading back into the darkness. I gritted my teeth as I slowly stepped into the room. It must have taken five minutes to even step through the threshold. I was preparing myself for the worst as the trail led back into a room where the door was half closed. I stopped and closed my eyes...

I sat in the kage's office ready to give a report of the incident of what happened this evening. My arms were taped in several locations, faint red bleeding through. After an hours wait, the receptionist finally said I could go in and speak to the Yamakage. I stood and slowly moved to the mans office. Once inside, I pulled out a chair and took my seat. I twiddled my thumbs while I waited for acknowledgement.

I heard a deep exhale and watched the space behind kage's chair fill with a thick plume of smoke. The chair didn't budge, but I heard Bryn's voice solemnly say, "What happened, Renga? From the beggining."

I nodded to myself and began to speak. "Alright, well it all started earlier today when I received a mission to investigate some attacks from this Rake-thing that's been plaguing the children of the village. I went and interviewed this kid but got nothing, so I went to the library to do some research..."

And I explained everything from then up until reaching the daughter's bedroom without hesitation. Then I stopped for a minute and stared at the desk before I began to speak again.

And then I began to speak again.

... When my eyes opened, I saw the worst sight I'd ever seen aside from my arm bubbling and melting. The girl. She was in the bed. Her nice white sheets decorated with roses. Her body covered in a beautiful robe. The rest of the room was covered in blood. Each step I took toward her took more and more energy. After what seemed like hours, I'd reached her bed side, then slowly move my arm to her neck, gently pressing my fingers against it. I felt nothing. I choked back tears. I'd failed that girl's mother.

While I stood there, I vanished into my own world. I didn't notice the sound of footsteps creeping up behind me. I remained still as the steps grew closer and closer.

The steps had finally stopped. I still hadn't noticed. Then in a flash, a hand was covering my mouth. The person was significantly smaller, but at least strong enough to drag a six-foot-one-inch shinobi to the ground. I flailed my arm backward and struck them, loosening his grip. A surge of chakra went into my hand as I built enough strength to spin around and slam my open palm into the man's stomach. I then grabbed his coat and stared him in the eyes with a fire hotter than any of my shukaton jutsu. I was tempted to kill him then and there.

What the man hadn't noticed was my open palm transferred a seal onto his skin under the robe. I thought once more about killing him, but instead threw him across the room and muttered "Run." In an almost demonic voice. He got up and ran out the door. I waited for several minutes while everything sank in. I was upset. UPSET. This never happened. I was the typical rich ass hole who pushed everybody around. I gritted my teeth, then ran out of the house. I followed the cultist where ever he went. My seal tracking every step he took. I kept a fair distance. I didn't want him getting suspicious.

He finally came to a stop, so I slowed my pace and approached a large warehouse. I was now prepared for whatever might have been inside. I then noticed an open window toward the top of the building. Typically, I'd have gone for the sneaky approach, but instead, I began a charge of charka into my power sleeve, then drew Fenrir, and just stood outside for a moment.

Description: Charge required. After a charge, the user focuses chakra into the palm of either of their hands to create a seal of the kanji for "Tracking." Once this seal is planted by physical contact with the chosen target, it cannot be broken until the topic ends. The user can track the victim of this attack anywhere they go within a one mile radius, the caster of the jutsu being the center. Lasts the entire topic. Once per topic.

I exhaled calmly and clenched the fist of my right arm. I gripped Fenrir and then charged, using my power sleeve as the break to slam through the door. I saw a group of the cultists sitting in the center of the room, gathered around a barrel fire. The three that could see me jumped up, the other stood up and turned around just in time for me to plunge Fenrir into his chest. He never stood a chance. I pulled my blade from him and watched him double over onto the floor. I then glared at the others. One of them was the one I'd planted the seal on, the other two were just there, but they would die anyway. I continued charging chakra into my bicep and took a defensive position as they all drew katanas and charged at me. I was at the point where I didn't care if I died, so long as I took them with me.

The group of culitists closed in on me and I smirked. The first one slashed at me and I deflected it with Fenrir, following it up with a gut punch. The cultist doubled over on the ground to catch the breath that was knocked from his lungs. The remaining two had backed off for a moment. Though I wasn't sure what they would do next. They were clearly faster than me, but yet they left me alone. I felt the chakra pulsing in my power seal, ready to be released. In a short time, it would have it's wish. I gritted my teeth as I watched the two regroup and charge again. I could still trace the moves of the one I'd planted a seal on, but the other one was tricky. I'd have deal with him first, but I also had to prepare for the one to recover from his lung beating.

As they charged at me, I noticed the one cultist stand back up. I stabbed him as he ran to attack me, but before he died, he got a solid slash off into my left arm. A large gash caused blood to pour from my wound, but I shrugged it off. Another aimed to bring a crushing blow on me, but as he did so, the power seal released and my arm morphed into the Brazo Derecho del Gigante. The shield took the brunt of the blade, causing the person to drop the blade. I shield-bashed him with my arm, staggering him enough to knock him over and allow me to stab him. Now there was one left. The cultist who had ambushed me at the house. I clenched my fist around Fenrir and began an all out sword fight with him. Deflecting his blows with my shield arm, then attacking. He cut me up pretty bad a couple of times. I even thought he might kill me, but I still could follow his movements closer than he could. In a blinding flash, I bashed him with my shield and kicked him in the chest. The force would knock him to the ground, sending him flying into the fire barrel the group had in the center of the room. In a rain of sparks, I slowly walked to the disoriented man and placed one foot on his chest. I looked him in the eyes as I plunged Fenrir into his heart and twisted it like a key. I listened for the breath to escape his lungs, then I spit on his face. I reverted my arm and sheathed my sword, then left the warehouse and came to the kage's office to report the incident...

He sighed and turned around, then looked me in the eyes and said. "You did good, son. Now, you need to end this. Go find that creature, The Rake, and end it. Bring it's dead corpse to me."

Description: Charge equal to handseals. After the charge, Renga opens the seal on his upper right bicep, allowing for some of the stored power to escape. This power morphs the power sleeve into a large shield, 3 feet high, 2.5 feet wide. On top of the shield, there is another foot long off shoot. In the center of the shield there is a mouth looking design where his fist emerges. This release is the defensive form of the Power Seal release, having the strength of corundum. This form can also use any of the Impure Form jutsu. This jutsu itself grants no bonus abilities, only another catalyst for attacks. Lasts for 6 posts. When the jutsu ends, the opened seal reclaims the previously stored power and closes. Cool down of 8 posts. Twice per topic.
