[Third Round] Kiwanu Kuma Vs. Sora Henkaku

Kiwanu had finished his battle with the old ass genin, Neru and was allowed a few days to rest up even though he didn't really need it sense his first match was nothing. Now here he was back in the arena for his second bout against some guy named Sora, this was going to pretty fun or so he had hoped. Ki would be bouncing up and down at the center of the arena as he waited for his opponent to arrive, it was best to get himself hyped up before the real challenge started.

Sora yawned as he stretched and waited for the proctor to announce the beginning of the fight, his previous bout had been a cakewalk, he hadn't even been touched by his opponent. He wondered whether this one would be the same, or if Arizen was just the weakest out of the genin that made it this far. He pulled Andlat over his shoulder and rested it on the floor, this fight could be interesting.

His opponent seemed to calm so it was evident or at least to Ki's knowledge that this guy was a boring book worm of sorts, but usual it's the quiet ones that turn out to be all crazy and strong and what not so Kiwanu would have to be on his guard. Before the proctor began to speak Ki would take this chance to introduce himself to the oh so chill kid, "yo what's up, the name's Kiwanu, let's have a good battle alright!?". The proctor would take a second before sighing and proceeding to speak his piece "yes well, you both know the rules, you may begin!~Ahem". Kiwanu would, instead of attacking, wait to see if Sora would return any form of salutations to his opponent but would be on guard and ready to react should he head straight into the battle, charging chakra while he waited.

Sora charged as he brought back Andlat, ready to swing. "I'm Sora, try not to give up too quickly will you?" As soon as he was in range he swung Andlat's full weight at his opponent's side, trying to make contact with his skin and use the heavy head of the hammer to smash into his opponent's sides.

Ki watched as the boy charged at him and then returned Ki's greeting as he prepared his attack. Kiwanu was already prepared before hand, releasing his stored chakra into his hands and utilizing his starting technique. It was clear Sora would use the hammer as he neared Ki's position, Sora closed the gap rather quickly and as he swung his giant hammer of doom at Kiwanu's side, Ki would lunge forward dodging the head of the hammer and closing the gap between Sora and himself using the hammer's momentum to his advantage. With his newly formed claws he would swipe at Sora's chest and then would proceed to rush past him, now standing behind his opponent from about 10 ft he would charge more chakra as he awaited his results.

Sora spun on his foot as his opponent formed claws and swiped at him, using the extra time that the range of Andlat gave him to step to the side and around Kiwanu's lunge. As he completed his turn and came to face Kiwanu once more he rushed in until he was in range and swung Andlat once more, arcing it upwards from the ground in an uppercut aimed to connect with the boy's chest.

Kushino sat in the crowds of people watching Sora's third fight, she knew he would do well but he well surpassed her expectations of how good a fighter he was. Kushino cheered loudly and happily, she would try watch everyone of his fights as in her books he was the best bet to win the entire Chuunin Exams.

Ki had watched as the boy dodged his lunge attack with some ease and then prepared himself as the boy was coming at him again. The boy's uppercut type attack would miss as Ki would roll to the side and out of the way. Recovering himself he would stand up and draw a weapon of his own, Sanjiegun, although it wasn't as fancy as this guy's mystic looking hammer, it would have to do. Kiwanu would began swinging the staff experimentally before charging at his opponent, coming within striking range he would swing the pole at the boy's face with one end. If anything he would block it with that hammer of his and attempt some sort of counter and so Ki would jump back from his opponent, just to be safe.

Sora moved his head back as the staff whistled towards his face, feeling the air whip past his skin as he evaded the strike, the staff coming within millimeters of his nose. He followed the boy as he jumped back, heeping in close range to limit the movements he could make with the staff as he tried to slam the head of his hammer into Kiwanu's chest with a thrust.

Spectator Post: The match was interesting from what I could see, sitting high in the stands and silently gazing down at the arena floor. My cousin and the kid I wanted to get my hands on so that we could finish what was started several days ago in the streets of this village. I didn't know how to feel about this match, either I would go on to fight a fellow Kuma or this stuck up brat, either way it should be rather interesting to see how the semi-finals wrapped themselves up.

Ki would prepare himself as Sora tried again to come back on the offensive as he came in for an attack at his chest, it seemed he wanted to try to stay within a rather close range, but with a big hammer such as that it could hinder him as well. As the head of the hammer came at him Ki would side step to the right and he would swing his staff from the second link at his opponent's head once more.

Sora pivoted and back-stepped out of the way of the staff, bringing Andlat down in an arc to strike the ground in front of him. A ring of blue runes formed around the two of them and the ground began glowing blue as Sora felt himself be lifted off the ground as gravity suddenly disappeared. Dust and loose rocks from the floor of the stadium rose up, as would Kiwanu as Sora charged energy into his feet. "Sky Walk Jets!" Small jets formed along the back of his ankles and he kicked off up into the air and kicked down, diving at Kiwanu as he swung Andlat at the boy's side. While in the field the other boy would be all but helpless and being unable to move would find it hard to completely avoid the hammer.
